Raipur : Normal life in Chattisgargh was hit hard as rains lashed many parts of the state and sent the minimum temperature plummeting below average.
Nine of the state’s 18 district have been receiving rains since Thursday night. The minimum temperature in the state capital Raipur was seven degrees Celsius Thursday.
The worst rain affected districts were Durg, Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Korba, Surguja, Raigarh, Jashpur, Koriya besides Raipur.
Raipur-based Metrological Centre Director M.L. Sahu said the temperature would dip further in the next 24 hours and the state would receive more rain as the low-pressure area formed over neighbouring Orissa will move towards Chhattisgarh.
