New Delhi: Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind has demanded the Union government to implement recommendations of the Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra Commission.
In its central executive committee meeting held on 24th February at its headquarters in New Delhi, the organization also demanded the government to restore the minority character of Jamia Millia Islamia. The committee adopted resolutions on various socio-political and religious issues related to Muslims in India and the Muslim world.
The committee expressed its concern over the arrest, torture and false encounter of Muslim youths on pretext of terrorism in some states.
On world issues, while the organization condemned Israeli aggression and blockade of Gaza Strip that is hastening humanitarian crisis there, it welcomed the freedom of Kosovo from Serbia.
The meeting attended by 200 members of the committee was called to discuss and finalize issues related to the coming 29th All India Ahle Hadees Conference.
