Gaza : A Palestinian militant, member of the armed wing al-Qassam Brigades of the Islamist Resistance Movement (Hamas) was killed on Sunday night in a fresh Israeli airstrike on northern Gaza Strip, hospital officials said.
Hamas movement said in a leaflet that Israeli warplanes struck by one missile on the ground east of Jabalia town in northern Gaza Strip, killing one person and wounding two others.
Mo’aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency and ambulance services in the Palestinian health ministry said that 32 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli military operation in northern Gaza Strip last Saturday.
Saturday’s incursion by Israeli army forces followed three days of intensive aerial attacks on Gaza which have killed 65 Palestinians and 320 wounded.
Abu Mujahed, spokesman of the Hamas-affiliated Popular Resistance Committees told reporters that the militant groups “got the Israeli message,” “and Israel should wait for our message.”
He also said that the ongoing Israel airstrikes “would never weaken the armed Palestinian resistance against the crimes of the occupation, adding that rockets attacks on Israel would continue.”
