Hong Kong : A top Hong Kong scientist says there is no evidence to suggest the flu virus in the territory’s current outbreak is more virulent than past flu viruses, AP reported.
Yuen Kwok-yung made his comments after meeting with a panel of experts to study the recent deaths of two children amid the outbreak. The children were treated at the same hospital.
Yuen says the flu virus did not spread beyond the lungs of the two victims, suggesting it is not exceptionally virulent.
