Islamabad : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the new government would prioritize the provision of basic necessities of life to the people all over the country at their doorstep.
The Prime Minister said this while talking to a delegation from Multan which also included members of the minority community at the PM’s House on Friday.
The Prime Minister said the government would soon be launching a programme to give immediate relief to the people wherein it would take all possible steps for increasing income generation and employment opportunities for the people.
The Prime Minister said that minorities are an important segment of Pakistan’s socio-cultural fabric and the government would take measures for bringing them into mainstream of the society so that they can effectively play their role in country’s development.
The participants congratulated him on assuming the office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
They also expressed the confidence that the new democratic setup will go a long way in solving the problems of the people.
Prominent members of the delegation included Malik Manzoor, Ahsan Mahay, Malik Hassan and Faisal Khan.
