Kathmandu : The Nepali cabinet has determined the protocol rankings for the top government posts, The Himalayan Times reported on Sunday.
The president was accorded the highest protocol ranking, followed by the prime minister, chief justice, chairman of the Constituent Assembly and the vice-president.
According to the daily, the cabinet also proposed to provide the president with 300-500 security personnel, and vice-president will be guarded by some 150 personnel.
The minister for health and population, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, was quoted by the daily as saying on Saturday that the government also decided to withdraw cases against 57 Communist Party of Nepal(Maoist) leaders, who were booked during 11-year conflict.
