Bhopal : Security has been beefed up in four towns of Madhya Pradesh which, according to a booklet found in a letter box in Jawahar Nagar locality of Ratlam district, are on the hit list of terrorists, police said Wednesday.
“The booklet received two days ago (Monday morning) says that blasts similar to the Ahmedabad blasts will be carried out in Ratlam, Ujjain, Indore and Gwalior,” Varun Kapoor, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ratlam Range, told IANS.
“The booklet, which prima facie appears to be a mischief of someone, mentions that three bombs will explode at Mahakal Temple in Ujjain by Aug 10, the Jains religious place Mohankheda in Ratlam will see explosions on Aug 11, five powerful bombs will rock Indore on Aug 14 and 10 bombs explosions will take place in Gwalior on Aug 15,” Kapoor said.
“While the police had already been maintaining a tight vigil across the state since the serial blasts in neighbouring Gujarat, the security at these places has been further tightened,” said the DIG.
“We are not taking any chances and all the three districts under Ratlam range have been put on red-alert,” Kapoor affirmed.
