Three Himachal accident injured brought to Delhi

New Delhi : Three of the injured passengers of a bus accident in Himachal Pradesh in which 12 Delhi residents were killed were brought to the capital Friday in an ambulance.

On Wednesday, a bus carrying pilgrims from Patel Nagar, Baljit Nagar and Pandav Nagar in west Delhi fell into a gorge in Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh. Twenty people were injured in the accident.

The pilgrims were headed for Viashno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.

Businessman Hariom Mohan, his wife Salu Mohan and six-year-old daughter Astha arrived at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here in an ambulance of the Himachal government. While Salu was sent home, Hariom is in a very bad condition with fracture hands and injury to his eyes.

T.S. Sidhu, acting medical superintendent of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, said the treatment on the patients had started.

"By Saturday afternoon we will be able to give details of the patients," Sidhu told IANS.

"The state government called us to enquire about the patients and expressed willingness to bear the entire expenditure," he said.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday visited the families of the victims in the three colonies to convey her condolences. She said her government would provide free treatment in government hospitals to those injured in the accident.
