Update syllabus for Quran learning for the new generation: Maulana Salim Qasmi

Deoband: National Vice-President of All Indian Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Mohammad Salim Qasmi said that it is time to prepare proper syllabus for teaching of Quran that take into account strength and capabilities of the new generation. He added that this will benefit students in learning Quran and memorizing it earlier and in a short time. He appealed Madrasa authorities to take initiative in this regard.

Maulana Qasmi who is associated with Darul Uloom Wakf at Deoband said that there are studented studying in schools and colleges who want to benefit from a better understanding of Quran. Ulema in Madrasa should work to find a solution for them, he said.

He was attending a congregation organized here on the completion of memorization of Quran by eight year old Mohammad Abrarul Haq. He said there is great joy on the memorization of Quran and it should be celebrated like people celebrate marriages and other important events. He said it should be celebrated by spending within the limits of his resources.
