Delhi based journalist Nadeem Ahmad who works for The Milli Gazette was recently detained by the Madhya Pradesh (MP) police. He was investigating claims by the MP police about busting of a terror camp by Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), a banned group.
He met resistance by the villages where the said training camp was supposed to be setup. The villagers were so enraged by him that he feared for his life. He was handed over to the police who detained him for two days. Even after his release he was forced to board a bus out of Indore and not allowed to continue his journalistic work in MP.
In an interview with Kashif-ul-Huda of TwoCircles.net Nadeem Ahmad recounts his ordeal. You can read his article in 16-30 April 2008 issue of The Milli Gazette.
