On 29th May night (2009) in Shopian in Kashmir, two girls Nilofer and Asiya were raped and murdered. The administration tried to prove that it was a case of death due to drowning. The valley erupted into severe protests. The favorite slogan of the protesters from last several years has been, Hamen Kya Chahiye-Azadi (what do we want-Freedom).
Every act of trampling on the interests of the people of valley leads to the same. Last time it took place when the Amarnath agitation sparked by the faulty move of Pro BJP governor of Kashmir, to acquire vast stretch of land for the shrine.
The present incident is very disturbing. It shows the role of the army and para-military forces, the attitude of administration in toeing lines which are very much insulting to the people of Kashmir, which cover up the crimes of the forces. Also one should note the tragic plight of the Kashmiri’s and more so the Kashmiri women at the hands of the people with the gun, the militants and the army both. The rising militancy in Kashmir has led to the deployment of more and more forces in Kashmir. Last two decades in particular have seen the life drying out there, and the suffering of people caught in the cross fire between the militant-terrorist outfits and the Indian armed personnel.
The popular perception has been that the Kashmir issue is due to the separatism of Muslims, and that Islam and Jihad is the major culprit. Kashmir has been mired right from the beginning by the ultra nationalism of Hindu right pressuring the Indian government to abolish article 370 and fully merge Kashmir with India. After the tragic partition of India, Kashmir’s Raja Harisingh decided to remain independent. The Hindutva forces in valley said that a Hindu Kingdom Kashmir (since the king was a Hindu) should not merge with secular India. When Pakistan’s army, disguised as tribals, attacked Kashmir, the People of Kashmir as represented by the National Conference with its leader Sheikh Abdullah, did not want to merge with Pakistan.
In the face of aggression Maharaja Harising appealed to Indian government to send its army to protect Kashmir from the attack by Pakistan army. On the insistence of Sheikh Abdullah in particular, the army was sent after the treaty of accession was signed. With Indian army intervention, Kashmir’s 2/3 became part of India with all the clauses of autonomy, article 370. With general elections Sheikh Abdullah swept the polls and became the Prime Minister of Kashmir. Sheikh Abdullah must be credited as being one of the most progressive leaders of the time as he was determined to undertake land reforms, which he did once he came to power.
Immediately after the treaty was signed Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the leader of Hindu Mahasabha, started campaigning for abolishing the clauses of autonomy and to forcibly merge it with India. This pressure had its effect and the attitude of Indian Government, over a period of time, hardened towards the autonomy clauses. With such attitude developing, Sheikh felt regret for his decision for accession, started loud rethinking and started talking to other countries, including the US and China. With this the Indian Govt. declared him as anti National and he was imprisoned for long years. This in turn led to the alienation of Kashmir people. As such on one hand Kashmir has been the victim of global imperialist policy on one hand and the attempts to go back from the promise of autonomy, on the other. US was clear that in the geographically crucial area, Kashmir, which has its border with many countries, cannot be left alone and so its stooge Pakistan did all possible to help the disgruntled elements in Kashmir. The later events showed the attitude of India and Pakistan as powers trying to take hold of the real Estate called Kashmir. Kashmir was seen not as constituted by people with their own aspirations but as a piece of property.
In all fairness it must be said till Nehru was alive he cautioned restraint and believed in winning over the hearts and minds of the people of Kashmir. Even at his time the pressure of Ultra Nationalists inside and outside the Government kept going up and gradually army was projected as the answer to the ‘problem of Kashmir.’ Ironically Pakistan which so far has been in the chains of the rule of Army, Mullahs and America, named the part of Kashmir, under its control as Azad Kashmir (Independent Kashmir)! And freedom for Kashmir has been the favorite theme of most of the dictators ruling the roost, of course with due support from Uncle Sam. What an irony; Dictators talking of Freedom! The trajectory of events is long, how after Sheikh Abdullah’s concern of autonomy changed over to Independence in the decades of 1970s, and in 1980-1990 to armed struggle for Azad Kashmir.
Interestingly after the defeat of Al Qaeda elements in Afghanistan, many of them turned their attention to Kashmir and partly communalized the issue. Mostly the theme of the Kashmir struggle has been Kashmiriyat, a concept which incorporates the values of Vedanta, Buddha and Sufis.
India kept sending more and more armed personnel to ‘solve’ the problem. There has been one Indian soldier for every 6-7 Kashmiris. What can be the life under such circumstances? Army is meant to fight the enemies, and not for any prolonged stay in any area. The army stay, domination in an area creates different type of vested interests. Army is no holy cow! From times immemorial army has been plundering and raping apart form other things. While it will be wrong to tar all the armed personnel with single brush, it is also true that section of army’s attitude to women has not been any thing good to write about. Be it the case of Manorama in the North East or the present case of Nilofer and Asiya, the tale is tragic.
The good news from Kashmir has been that last tow lections have been conducted fairly democratically, and even the separatists like Sajjad Lone are now opting for the democratic system with changed equation in Pakistan, with democracy struggling to come in there, the portents are healthy. It is time that army is withdrawn at a rapid pace, democratic process is deepened, guilty of violence against women and their protectors are punished and army rests in barracks rather than dictating terms in Kashmir. Hope Mr. Chidambaram promise in this direction does not remain merely on paper.

LTTE is a terrorist organization.But Srilankan Tamilians are not terrorists.In the name of attacking LTTE, the Government of Srilanka is brutally torturing innocent Tamil civilians.
LTTE is not a suddenly formed terrorist organization. It was a reaction of Tamils who are brutally tortured by the racists of Srilankan government.The first reactions of Tamilians against Sinhalese chauvinism was not through violence, but through Gandhian non violent methods.Due to continued genocides of Tamilians by Sinhalese fascists , Tamilians started violent organization called LTTE.It is not a secret that both LTTE and Srilankans got arms and ideological support of Israel and American evangelist churches.It is another story of cheap tactics of imperial powers like Israel and America.Their agenda is heinous.
The Budhatva of Sinhalese has got a close similarity with Hindutwa of Brahmins.In the begining of Tamil-Sinhalese clashes, it was common to have state sponsored riots against Tamils by Sinhalese.These incidents were very similar to the Gujarat riots.Burning people alive by using petrol was a very common method of Sinhalese.This is an Aryan Brahmin method of killing people.Upper caste people always used fire to kill lower caste people.Srilankan Sinhalese always claimed that they are Aryans migrated to Srilanka from India.Yes, they are Aryans.Their methods are Brahminist.But , as we all know, the Tamilians are Dravidians.They first depended in a non- violent struggle.Then their youths started violent struggle which is hijacked by the imperialists through LTTE.LTTE never wanted to stop the war because many of their non resident leaders were getting good fund from Israel and America for continuing the war.(LTTE leaders who migrated to foreign nations like Europe and America.They recieved huge funding from imperial powers).Poor Tamilians.They are killed by Aryanist Srilankans and cheated by their own leadership.
Now the condition of Srilankan Tamilians are very pathetic.We will get shocked by seeing the news about their plight.Just as the victims of Gujarat riots.
We Muslims should pray for innocent Tamilians who are tortured.We should raise our voice for them.It is true that LTTE had killed many Srilankan Muslims as per the order from their imperial masters.But LTTE and the Tamil is not the same.The past acts of LTTE must not be a factor for us to work against the atrocities of Srilankan Government.
Kashmir Issue is Nothing
I am an Indian, a dedicated Indian. People have the right to decide their future, in a Democracy.
Why the Kashmir issue is not settled? Is it an impossible task? No. Within days anyone can defuse this issue.
Kashmiri people should have the right to decide about their land. Let them decide. A Plebiscite (expression of will by the citizens) should decide the future. Let them stay with India, Be an Independent State, or merge with Pakistan. Let them decide.
We the Indians should think : Kashmir is the part of India for the last 62 years. If the Kasmiris still demanding freedom from India, it means We failed to rule that area. In other words our rule was not for the people of that area.
Why we should spent billions for security due to this issue? How many army men and citizens losing their life due to this issue? Why should we afford this lose?
Let them Decide.
Kashmir issue is nothing
True we are a democracy. But tell me first if someone in a family wishes to commit suicide, do you think it is ok for the rest of the family to allow him / her do so, in the name of free will, etc, etc.
The State of J&K is an integral part of India and will remain so. To set the matter right following is to be done: -
1 The elimination terrorist from J&K.
2 The rehabilitation of Kashmiri pandits, who were forced out at gun-point by terrorist, back to J&K.
3 Taking back of part of J&K captured by Porkistan.
4 Taking back of part of J&K captured by China.
Porkistan is not at all interested in welfare of J&K. Porkistan's army, ISI, President and Government have been using J&K as an issue to justify there own existance in their failed country. For any sane country its own development is more important than internal matters of another country. Today's condition in Swat valley and its treatment of people of East Porkistan in the past is a good example of Porkistan's intentions.
Those in J&K who still dont want to be part of
India do have a democratic right, they can leave India and go to Porkistan or whereever they want.

How Dharmapala, a Bouddha Aacharya of Nalanda Boudha Vidyapitha was defeated in ‘shastrartha’ by Kumarila Bhatta. Kumarila uncle of Brahmin scholar, Dharmakirti who was defeated and humiliated by Dharmapala, decided to study Buddhist shastras as he thought ‘it is always necessary to study the enemy before attacking it’ and joined Nalanda in the guise of a disciple of Dharmapala, in order to acquire enough knowledge of Buddhism so as to defeat Buddha’s doctrine. After studying Buddhism for some time, he challenged his guru Dharmapala, defeated him in ’shastrartha’, and saw his guru embrace ‘tushanal’ and avenged the humiliation of his nephew Dharmakirti. Tushanal means, a funeral pyre made up of hay and dry wood. Dharmapala declared before being burnt alive, “I am defeated by brilliance of Kumarila, but still I believe in supremacy of Buddha’s doctrine, I am not deviated at all from Buddha, His Dhamma or His Sangha, and so I would renounce my life rather than renounce Buddhism”. This is an account from a Brahmanic book and not from a Buddhist one.
Shastrartha, Swamiji tells us, involved scholarship i.e. an ability to quote from ancient texts, literary acumen, and ability to debate and argue without cause, without logic, without demonstration of so-called yogic powers etc., or in simple language ability to quarrel! [Swami Apurvananda, "Aacharya Shankara" 2nd edition. 1989, (Marathi translation of Bengali book), Ramakrishna Matha, Dhantoli, Nagpur, p. 94 ff.]
So Brahmins were quarreling and not arguing? Do you mean to say modern day debating logically was not known to Brahmins of those days?
Swami Vivekananda has described how Aacharya Adi Shankara used to enjoy the burning of Buddhist monks after defeating them in shastrartha. This is what he says: “And such was the heart of Shankara that he burned to death lots of Buddhist monks by defeating them in arguments (quarrel?). What can you call such an action on Shankara’s part except fanaticism?” [Vivekananda: Complete Works vol. VII, p. 117 ff.]

peaceful Budhism was NOT fit for nation building
Buddhism which was an exceedingly good religion "with compassion" for all living beings was "an Utopian religion far ahead of the times it established itself". "Peace and compassion of Buddhism" can be understood only by people who are civilized and are willing to accept views at variance with their own. The concept of Buddhism was NOT fit for nation building- protecting once heritage from invading hoards of "HOOLIGANS" for whom there was NO established law. Buddhist monks "preaching peace" would have had NO impact on the invaders who relentlessly attacked India from North and North West- the violence they brought in had to be replayed with violence. So ADI- Shankara, who was from Kerala, initiated revivalism in Hinduism to get back Buddhist into HINDU fold,so that the "fighting spirit" necessary for nation building is rekindled realizing that the "peace and compassion of Buddhist" would result in India being fully converted to "invaders religion"- AND HE WAS CORRECT. All the areas of Afghanistan and beyond which was the "cradle of BUDDHIST civilisation" was ISLAMISED. Even to date "Bemiyana Buddha" is being blasted in afghanistan.
Hinduism survived in India because of the revival while the original inhabitants of America, Australia, Newzeland and most of ASIA have been converted. But Hinduism survived in spite of almost 1000 years rule of Muslims and Christians- had India persisted with Buddhism- it would NOT have been possible.
Even today can the "peace and compassion" concept of Buddhism survive against "Islamic Terrorism"????
after reading so many
after reading so many articles here in two circles i have found that this kind of stuff promotes a lot of unproductive mechanisms like muslim separatism on the name of secularism. but one good thing is, it actually making me realise and understand the original mentality of muslims.How blinded they are of history and want to just re -write the history because it is so shameful for them to accept that the relegion which they follow now has actually come from invaders who dont belong to this place and always were part of the destruction in this country.
And till date i have never understood one thing how a masjid(read babri)which was built by an invader who looted,raped and oppressed then indian people as a sacred and worshipping place.wether there was a temple or not in the first palcce is a different matter,i really dont bother.I feel that land better used for a hospital,orphange or any good work for people of all the relegions instead fighiting for it.
In the childhood my mom told me that muslims,christinas and every one from other relegion are peaceful people,we are all children of one father,but i recently came to know that in their texts they think of us as infidels,polythiests who are bound to eternal hell. and their god hate us most.So actually now i understood that they will never be able to think of good for us becasue their god who is more dearest to them than anything else hates us in the first place. and definately we can not be the kids of the same father, as i have never learnt from my childhood that my god hates them,or they are some infidels,un-believers and bound to hell etc....and it really amused me that the same god will love me if i worship him in a certain way,i guess the people i knew so far are really good than their described god when it comes to forgiving.
There is a lot of difference between our values and theirs. if we say loka samastha sukhino bhavanthu in my main prayer,in their main prayer they say exalt and bless their prohpet and his followers only.Such selfish people.They cant even do prayers for the all humakind leave alone working for them.

Dear Sir/Madam
You need to review your understanding by reading about the religion called, Islam. This religion God, Allah doesn't hate to His creatures, i.e. mankind. Who told u this?? In His book Quran he addressed many times by saying "O People ... (irrespective of any religion). Our prayers has lot of words including humankind. Ask the meaning of the words to any scholar / priest of Islam or web sites of Islam if you are really seriously interested.
You can imagine the popularity of our religion that we are two billion muslims in respect of figure and its increasing very fast. This is the fastest growing religion in the world, particularly in Americas, despite the fact of 9/11.
May Allah (great God) open your eyes and give you "Hidayah" (blessings).

Go to a new place, present yourself as a muslim., and then know what reality is. Wanna try. Why don't you go to AFPAK and tell them that you are a Hindu and see their reaction too. All these PAKI Muslims were INDIAN MUSLIMS till 14-15-1947. See what have they turned into in the last 62 YEARS and how they are treating HINDUS and SIKHS in their part of the country. This is exactly that will happen to HINDUS in INDIA too if ever the MUSLIMS manage to become a majority community in INDIA.
Kashmir is the living example- Kashmiri Muslims have chased out the 5% minuscule minority Hindus from amongst them in spite of India being a country with 80% Hindu population. Malaysia with 60.5% Muslims have declared itself an ISLAMIC Republic. "Hate Cyanide-Salad provided by the RSS" is NOT essential to draw conclusions in the era of "internet", where it is difficult to hide knowledge.

"From times immemorial army has been plundering and raping apart form other things" Factually correct for olden times and in INDIAN contest it was the MUSLIM ARMIES who have been doing it for more than 800 years. Even in Kashmir it was Afghan Muslims who did it from 1753- 1800 and it was during this time that even the forefathers of present CM, Omar Abdulla, who were Pandits converted to ISLAM.
The partition of India was done by Indian Independence Act 1947, statute (10 and 11 Geo VI, c. 30) enacted by the British Parliament. The Act received royal assent on July 18, 1947.
One of the clause was "That all Indian princely states shall be released from their official commitments and treaty relationships with the British Empire, and will be free to join either dominion".
The King of Kashmir joined India similar to Khan of Bughthi/Kalat etc joining Pakistan and King of Jaipur/ Patiala/Gwalior etc joining India. The opinion of the people of the princely states were NEVER sought anywhere. So what is special about Kashmir- just the MUSLIM MAJORITY. Wouldn't you term it "extremely communal act" if the people of erstwhile princely state of Gwalior/ Alwar, which is predominantly Hindus, drive out all minorities and demand independence??? Isn't that what has been done by Kashmiri Muslims???
Now about YATRA. The area is prone to sudden climate changes and pilgrims have died in the past. So what is wrong if 100 acres of forest land is used to provide shelter to pilgrims for just TWO months in a year??
The call by HURRIET to curtail YATRA, the "rape&murder" occurring conveniently at the commencement of YATRA, the HURRIET immediately blocking Srinagar Road through which the YATRA pilgrims have to travel to reach AMARNATH, while Shopian where the incident occurred and KUPWARA ahead of YATRA route remained peaceful indicate clearely that the "henious crime has been perpetrated by Hurriet Terrorist"

Ram Puniyani may/may not be correct in his view that the militants raped and killed Nilofer and Acia.But what had happened is a fact irrespective of who did it.So the Kashmiris have every right to demand justice.Now Kashmir has got an elected government and it is purely under the control of para-military forces.So the state and Central governments have got the moral responsibility to trace out the culprits by DNA test and punish them.Together we all Indians should force the government to find out the truth.Raps and killings are ot new to army people.

A.M.A.Hakeem- Yes. Army Kills- All Armies are trained to kill to protect their homeland. Indian Army has killed many people- in 1947, 1965, 1971 and during KARGIL WAR, PAKIS were Killed. In 1962 Indian Army killed Chinese too although NOT as efficiently OR in large numbers as the PAKIS.
In Kashmir, from 1989, Army has been killing Terrorist who have taken up AK47 to kill innocent citizens because these "aam admi" do NOT agree to the terrorist ideology. Remember, the Army was on the border of KASHMIR from 1947 but was never involved in any tussle with the Kashmiris till 1989- for 42 years, but commenced killing terrorist only after PAKIS pushed in Terrorist and the terrorist commenced killing innocent people of Kashmir- NOT necessarily HINDUS alone, even Kashmiri Muslims. So ARMY is a killing Machine and were called in to kill PAKI Terrorist in MUMBAI too.
But when/where have ARMY indulged in RAPE??? DID it happen for 42 years from 1947- 1989 when Army was along the border. The "rape&Murder" was perpetrated by HURRIET Terrorist to STOP AMARNATH YATRA. HURRIET calling for curtailing YATRA, the incident happening conveniently just before YATRA, HURRIET immediately spreading violence to block the NH while Shupian, where the incident actually happened remained peaceful as it was NOT on YATRA route- all point to the involvement of HURRIET in the "CRIME".
When the "rape&murder" incident cooled down, HURRIET has again spread violence on NH through which the YATRA pilgrims travel, siting some "molestation" incident at KUPWARA. HURRIET stalled the YATRA last year on the issue of "use of forest land for pilgrims", this year with the allegation of atrocities by SF- "rape&murder" and NOW "molestation" and will stall YATRA next year too but on a different pretext. IF YOU FALL FOR HURRIET PROPAGANDA WHY DON'T YOU GO AND FIGHT FOR THEM IN KASHMIR?????
The slap of nature
Nature replies to injustice in its own ways. It is very visible provided one is willing to halt and listen to its rythym. Indian army is doing rape and murder for the past 25 yrs in J&K killing 100,000 J&K citizens. They are called terrorists. Well then they have killed terrorists age 3 (in thousands). Thousands of rapes and home-burnings have been the sport of Indian soldiers. And they say J&K is a "part of india". you dont kill / rape your own people. That should define what the real story is.

There was a severe drought in Gujarat. Modi built the Sardar Patel Dam on Narbada but there is no water in it.
There are signs. All of what RSS is doing (in chaddi and in military uniform) will come back.,sooner than later. In the form of disasters., plagues., earthquakes, droughts, weather changes., illnesses., and curses.
In 1948, there was a village called Khillary. In Khillary, the RSS men along with the Indian army killed around 100,000 unarmed indian muslims. (It was part of Hydreabad Nizam State, and indian army entered on sept 13, 1948. ther eis the Sundarlal Report, which to this day has not been presented to Parliament. This documents killing of 200,000 indian muslims by RSS and Indian army circa Sept 1948). Whole villages were killed. Women and girls jumped into the wells. Its a gory story.
After 50 years, in the same Khillary Village there was an earthquake. A horrible one. And thousands of Hindus died at the very spot where those rapes /killings had taken place 50 yrs earlier ! The Hindu residents knew their history and started crying seeking forgiveness from Muslims for the sins they (or their elders) committed in Khillary, Latur, Osmanabad, Shahpur, Raichur [parts of Marathwada/Hyderabad State; and Hyderabad-Karnataka], in 1948. All these areas suffered huge devastation in an earthquake. Hindus do not know their own history. They read what RSS dishes them out and believe it to be the whole truths. They are not at an intellectual level or plane.,where they hear the other side of the story.
Curses follow the perpetrators. What someone in doing in J&K today., maybe innocent girls in Gujarat will have to pay for these sins .. 20 or 30 yrs later ! The hand of time moves in unique ways.

INCIDENT AT KARBALA
1-- The water supply was cut off by the Yazid army to the Hussains camp. Children were crying for water, the women were desperate for water.
2--Yazid army set fire to the Imam's tents which were occupied mostly by frightened females and children.
3--Ali Akbar, Husain's son lead the fight and died. His sister and other women in the camp were horrified and shocked at the scene.Abbas and five other brothers of Imam Husain went to fight and died. Next the sons of Imam Al-Hasan and their cousins (about 17 of them), all in their teens went out and died.
4--By the afternoon 70 brave persons had died . All had fought under severe thirst, dehydration, exhaustion, and agonizing feeling for the family of the Prophet (pbuh) . Imam Husain heard his baby crying because of the thirst and he held the six months old youngest son (Ali Asghar) in his arms, and appealed to the enemy fighters for some water. But the baby was shot with an arrow killing him instantly. Imam Husain filled his palm with the blood of the baby, and threw it upwards toward the sky, complaining to Allah (swt),
"O' Allah, O' my Lord! My consolation is the fact that Thou in Thine Majesty are witnessing what I am going through."
5-- Hussain went to fight and was killed. His head was cut off to be carried on the tip of a spear to Yazid
6--The Muslim horsemen to trample upon the supine bodies of Imam Husain and all others killed, to disfigure them even further.
7--For three days the exposed bodies were left lying in the desert of Karbala.

You are 100 percent right. It is all due to RSS falsified history and ugly machinations of British, otherwise, Muslims and Hindus lived like TRUE Brothers for centuries. So much so that they actually learnt persian language and wrote fictional historical accounts to defame peaceful Muslim kings like Gajhni, Temur, Babar, Aurangjeb etc.
The situation becomes even more horrible when you realize that these RSS historians have been writing these books in Persian for more than 1000 years. Just search for english translation of persian literature on Google and you will find huge amount of information.

Their treachery went even further, when they joined hands with Britishers and conspired to translate those persian books in English so as to drive a wedge between Muslims and Hindus.

Kolkata : State-run Coal India Ltd (CIL) has decided to offer employment to Madhu, the poverty-stricken fifth generation descendant of India's last Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar.
Madhu, 33, is the daughter of Sultana Begum and the late Muhammad Bedar Bakht, the great grandson of Bahadur Shah Zafar.
"On behalf of Coal India Ltd, I feel pleasure in offering employment to Madhu. It will be a great tribute to the last Mughal emperor who played a key role during the first war of independence in 1857," Coal India Chairman Partha Bhattacharyya said.
"It is the duty of the country to repay its debt to the family of those who sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom, especially in view of the recently concluded celebration of the 150th anniversary of the 1857 uprising," he said.
The employment letter will be handed over to Madhu by Union Minister for Coal Sriprakash Jaiswal at a function to be held in the city next month.
The move by Coal India came in response to a plea by a Delhi-based scribe couple Neena and Shivnath Jha who had launched a nationwide movement "Andolan Ek Pustak Se" under the aegis of Bismillah: The Beginning Foundation.
The initiative was launched to rehabilitate the descendants of forgotten heroes who fought for the honour of India.
"Muhammad Bedar Bakht died in 1980 leaving his widow at the mercy of God to maintain herself and their children on the bank of river Hooghly in West Bengal's Howrah district. At that time she was in her 30s. Nobody came to her rescue for the past three decades," said Shivnath Jha.
"I don't have words to express my feelings. The job will not only give an inner strength to a woman like me, but also protect me and my family," Madhu said.

Bahadur Shah Zafar was placed on the throne in 1837. He was the last of the Mughal emperors who ruled over the Indian subcontinent for some 300 years. The first War of Independence in 1857 started during his reign.
The sepoys declared Zafar the symbol of freedom and nominated him as their commander-in-chief. He was exiled to Rangoon (now Yangon) in 1858 where he lived for five years and died in 1862 at the age of 87.

Gwalior (Scindias); Jaipur Royal Family ; Travancore Royal Family... Free India forgot the freedom fighters and got into the hands of the traitors. RSS is an organisation taht was opposed to India's freedom - and it is now ruling India (thru the remote control). The Muslim Divines who were India's first freedom fighters (Maulana Mahmud ul Hasan - Prisoners of Malta); are branded terrorists. India's freedom movement started from Madrasas that are now called factories of terrorism... whereas RSS... which is a hate-factory financed by the British has now copyright to Indian Nationalism and Culture. I am really not sure as to what have you understood from my messages. Well FYI, I am not a Marathi, but from what you refer to as the Hindi Mainland, I am from Bihar and lived there till my 12th. Even now my home, as in where my Parent live happens to be in Bihar.
Before you jump to some other conclusions based on the words used in my comments, let me also clarify that I am not a Brahmin.
Regarding the History taught in Shishu mandir etc., I have studied in Govt. Owned Zila Schools. So sorry that was also not correct.
But, I can see how you come to that conclusion, I am sure the history taught in these schools is the same that the "RSS' historians have been writing in Persian and under Persian names.

6.3 percent of Goa's GDP comes from foreign remittance: Study

Panaji : Goa received foreign remittances to the tune of Rs.700 crore in 2008, which accounted for 6.3 percent of the state gross domestic product (SGDP) during the period, a study released here Tuesday said.
The study, 'Goa Migration Survey 2008', was released by the Goa non-resident Indians (NRI) commissioner Eduardo Faleiro.
Kerala-based Centre for Development Studies (CDS) conducted the survey across nearly 600 households in the state.
According to the report, the Gulf countries were a favourite working destination for Goans planning to migrate. A whopping 56 percent of Goan emigrants are living in the Gulf countries.
NRI deposits in Kerala banks touch record high

Thiruvananthapuram: Deposits by non-resident Indians (NRIs) in Kerala banks grew from Rs.29,889 crore in March 2008 to a record high of Rs.37,019 crore as on March 31, 2009, according to the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC).
This was revealed at the 99th meeting of SLBC that took place here Thursday.
The total deposits in all banks in the state have gone up from Rs.105,488 crore in March 2008 to Rs.130,350 crore in March 2009 .
The State Bank group bagged the highest share - 42.62 percent - of the total NRI deposits with Rs.15,779 crore.
Private sector, which received Rs.10,316 crore, came second, while other nationalised banks accounted for 27.68 percent with Rs.10,249 crore.
The committee said the NRI deposits peaked earlier in March 2007 at Rs.33,330 crore, but fell in 2008 to Rs.29,889 crore.
There are more than two million Keralites settled outside the country of which close to 90 percent are in the Middle East. (IANS)
Viaji Singh- History is multi-faceted
History is multi-faceted- views based on history can be contradicting. It can be explained with the example of Travancore Royal Family.. which you have mentioned.
TIPU SULTAN attacked MALABAR and the entire family of Samrine- the ruler of MALABAR- committed suicide by burning his house. Loot, plunder and rape was spread in Malabar region of KERALA by the soldiers of TIPU. Thereafter TIPU moved to present day ALWAYE to attack TRAVANCORE, which would spread the mayhem to Travancore too. So the king of Travancore sought the assistance of British to fight against TIPU and protect his subjects (Hindus, Christians and Muslims) from plunder by Muslim TIPU. TIPU was defeated and finally killed at at Srirangapattanam and the Travancore army also participated in the pursuit and assault on TIPU. So the question is :-
1-- Would King of Travancore been more patriotic had he NOT sought the assistance of BRITISH and allowed TIPU to capture his Kingdom and massacre his subjects???
2-- Isn't TIPU responsible for subjugation King of Travancore by British as heavy payment was demanded by British for the help extended to Travancore????
Similarly, in 1857, Bahadur Shah Zafar, an old man who couldn't lead a revolt of such magnitude was made the titular head as the MUSLIMS would only support a MUSLIM RULER. Even the revolt had a "Muslim religious angle" to it in that it was prophesied in 1756, after the Battle of Plassy by a Islamic scholar that "Muslim Rule" would be re-established in India in the 100 year, and so the revolt in 1857.
So there are many different ways of looking at the same history- more than the dictum that "history as told by victor and vanquished in any war is different- and that history mostly is as told by victor and NOT by vanquished". In the example of Travancore, the king, his subjects, British, Tipu etc all would record history differently and each one of them would differ substantially!!!!! The History of TIPUs attack on Travancore as perceived by the King is available in Kerala history which evidently has been "discarded" after TIPU was given the "HALO" of a freedom fighter for having fought the British.
