By TCN News,
New Delhi: An Iftar Party for rickshaw-pullers and laborers was organized by Human Welfare Foundation on August 24 in Abul Fazal Enclave of Jamia Nagar in New Delhi. Several hundred rickshaw-pullers and laborers participated in this Iftar Party. After breaking the fast (Iftar) they were served with dinner (meals), clothes and dates also.
Salimullah Khan, National Coordinator of HWF said that foundation has always been active for the welfare of marginalised community and their upliftment. He further said that organizing Iftar Party for rickshaw-pullers and laborers is one of the projects under vision 2016 of HWF. Such Iftar Party is aimed at encouraging them so that they could come to us with their problems without hesitation. HWF had organized such Iftar Party last year also.

Apart from Iftar Party and dinner, the foundation also distributed Kurta and Pajama as Eid gift among rickshaw-pullers and labourers so that they can better celebrate Eid. It is to be noted that the foundation has also distributed rickshaws to rickshaw pullers in Delhi and in other states of India too.
Like in earlier Ramazan, in this Ramazan too, the foundation distributed Iftar kit to more than 3000 poor Muslim families so that they can break the fast like common people in whole month of Ramazan.

Mohd. Rafeek, treasurer of HWF, delivered an elaborated speech soon after Iftar Party. He appealed to rickshaw-puller Muslim brethren to take care of their health and this can be possible only when one lives with cleanliness. He said that cleanliness is half of Imaan.
Mohd. Ejaz Ahmad Aslam, Editor of Radiance Viewsweekly, and Dr Mohd Rafat, president, Jamaat-e-Islami of Delhi were there to welcome the guests.
