New Delhi: A high-level delegation of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) of Lok Sabha Member Badruddin Ajmal (Dhubri) has urged Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to intervene to save people from the devastating floods in various districts of Assam. PM Manmohan Singh is Rajya Sabha Member from the eastern India state.

Last week (19 June) a delegation of AIUDF, under the leadership of party chief and perfume baron Badruddin Ajmal, called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and urged him to provide relief for the flood-affected people and take step to check soil erosion in the State.
The AIUDF delegation told the PM that the Tarun Gogoi led State government is not interested in solving the problems of flood and erosion in Assam.
Besides Badruddin Ajmal, the delegation had party MLAs Sirajuddin Ajmal and Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Qasmi.
Baruddin Ajmal gifted the book “Islamic Encyclopaedia” by Syed Iqbal Zahir to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
