Islamabad : Pakistani religious party chief on Wednesday stressed upon the Muslims to return back to their roots to counter anti-Islam conspiracies.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Syed Munawar Hassan speaking to IRNA agreed with the statement of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei that holy Quran is the only solution to Muslims’ problems.
In the meeting, the Supreme Leader said holy Quran can fulfil all human needs and is a guideline for mankind and stressed that all weaknesses and problems of Muslim nations can be rectified through practicing the holy Qur’an.
Syed Munawar Hassan expressing his views said that Muslims are blessed with the light of wisdom. ‘we have left the right path’. “We need to find out the right path that could lead us to our destiny”, he suggested.
He said Islam promotes peace and tolerance. “Islam is a religion of peace and brotherhood and linking terrorism with it is not justified’, he said.
“Yes I agree with the Supreme Leader, Quran is the only solution to the problems of Muslim Ummah”, said the religious leader.
“We must read and follow Quran carefully”, he added.
The Supreme Leader said that Islamic Revolution was a step toward Quran and added that Iranians are among the most powerful nations in the world because of resorting to teachings of Islam.
Syed Munawar Hassan responding to the remarks of the Supreme Leader said that Iran is the only country that is resisting against the Western pressure because they are practicing Islamic teachings in their country.
“Iran is an excellent example for the other Muslim states”, he said. He went on to say that Iran is a role model for oppressed nations of the world.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has also added that the rule of hegemonic powers in Islamic world has caused looting of economic sources, lack of identity in cultural affairs, adding that the Glorious Qur’an is a cause for spiritual and material glorification for Muslim nations and Iranians are a clear manifestation of this historical reality.
Syed Munawar Hassan was of the view that the Muslims want is that Islam should be practiced in their countries in its authentic true spirit. “The uprisings in Muslim countries are the signs of freshness of Muslim Ummah”, said the JI leader.
