Ranchi : A Jharkhand government official Friday has charged Congress legislator Yogendra Sao with beating him for not visiting his house.
Raj Ballabh Singh, a block development officer of Keredari block in Hazaribagh district, said: “Sao called me at his house, but I did not go. He and his supporters attacked me when I was going to my office Friday.”
Sao rubbished the charges.
“The BDO is corrupt and he seeks money for every work. He was beaten up by the villagers and I saved his life from people. I took him to police station” he said.
The legislator also alleged that an arrest warrant is pending against the official.
