New Delhi: To mark the Milad-un-Nabi, Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO) organized several events in different parts of the country as the members of MSO celebrated the day with enthusiasm and took out processions.

Describing the day as a symbol of global Islamic unity, MSO national President Syed Muhammad Qaudri said: “As Milad-un-Nabi is the symbol of Global Islamic unity, Muslims must show their unity by participating in the events organized on the day.
But he emphasized that while observing the day the Islamic principles must be followed and there must not be any action that crosses the limitations prescribed by Shariat.
He said that Children used to sing Naat and show Happiness before the Prophet Muhammad and he allowed it. He asked his companions to observe fast on this day.
“Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated in all parts of the world with enthusiasm. It is a public holiday in 54 countries of the world including India. Allah has favoured us by sending His beloved messenger between us. We must be thankful to Him for this great favour” he added.
The places where MSO organized Milad-un-Nabi events include Delhi, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota and Jaipur in Rajasthan, Bareilly, Sambhal, Pilibhit, Rampur, Aligarh Muslim University, Bahraich, Allahabad, Ghaziabad, Kanpur in Utter Pradesh, Kolkata , Murshidabad, West Dinajpur in West Bengal, Bangalore in Karnataka and Calicut in Kerala.
