Forbesganj firing: Bhajanpur gathers courage, files case against police officers

Patna: In a significant development indicator of the shocked and terrified village gathering courage to stand up, the village today has filed an FIR against civil and police administration and owners of Auro Sundaram International Pvt Ltd for the June 3 bloody police firing which claimed four innocent lives and wounded several others.

In the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Araria, the villagers today have filed a case (No 1341 c/11) under various sections of IPC like 147, 148, 149, 341, 342, 307, 302, 109, 120 and section 27 of Arms Act.

Talking to TwoCircles.net from Bhajanpur, Farooq Ansari (whose wife was killed in the firing) said the case has been filed against the killings of innocents by the police. They shot at the upper part of the body and even entered the village and opened fire on the innocents.

Ansari read out the names of the officers and company owners who have been made accused in the case. According to him, in the case, the named persons made accused are: Ashok Chaudhari, Director, Auro Sundaram International PVT LTD; Saurabh Agarwal, son of BJP MLC Ashok Agarwal and one of owners of the company; Kamal Agarwal (Saurabh’s brother-in-law), Girwar Dayal Singh, SDO, Araria; Sunil Kumar Gupta, Block Statistics Officer; Sunil Kumar Yadav (the homeguard jawan caught on camera trampling the body of a victim); Anil Kumar Gupta, In- charge, Forbesganj Police Station; Prashant Kumar, Sub-Inspector; and Mahashweta Kumari, Sub-Inspector.
