Mumbai: After RSS pracharak and terror mastermind Swami Aseemanand confessed the role of Hindu extremists in various terror attacks in the country, Praveen Mutalik, one of the key accused in Malegaon 2008 blast case, has told Maharashtra Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) that many Hindu boys were given training, under his supervision, to make bombs and carry out terror attacks.
The ATS has said that during the interrogation Praveen Mutalik has named several Hindu boys who got training for carrying out terror acts under his supervision.

“During the interrogation of Mutalik, we have got good information and new material that has been recorded. He told us about the boys who underwent training of bomb making, using of weapons and marshal arts,” ATS chief Rakesh Maria has been quoted in the media as saying.
He hinted that on the basis of the information some more arrests are likely in connection with the 2008 Malegaon blast case. “Some would be arrested in the blast case while some would be taken as witnesses” he added.
Maria said that Purohit and Mutalik used to scout for boys who could be used for terror activities. “Mutalik has given us the names of the boys who underwent training under his supervision” he added.
On 29th September 2008 a blast took place in Muslim dominated city of Malegaon in Nasik district of Maharashtra, killing six people and wounding 37 others.
During the investigation then ATS Chief Hemant Karkare exposed that members of Hindu extremist group Abhinav Bharat carried out the blast.
So far, ATS has arrested 12 persons, including prime accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Lt Colonel Shrikant Purohit, Praveen Venkatesh Takalki alias Praveen Mutalik, retired Army officer Major Ramesh Upadhyay and Swami Dayanand Pandey.
