Pakistan vehicle sales up

Islamabad : Vehicle sales in Pakistan rose by 17 percent to 96,900 units in the first seven months of the current fiscal year compared to 82,767 units in the corresponding period last year.

The Pakistan Automobiles Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has revealed the sales data of car and light commercial vehicles Friday, Daily Times reported Saturday.

The sales of cars and commercial vehicles went up by 2 percent on a yearly basis to 14,967 units in January 2012, while it increased by 34 percent on a monthly basis.
