National Seminar on UPA-II and Muslim expectations

    Aligarh: The Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC), Aligarh, Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis (FMSA) and The Aligarh Movement monthly magazine are jointly organizing a National Seminar on ‘UPA-II & Muslim Expectations’ at India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi on Saturday, 31 August, 2013 at 3:00pm.

    The Director of the Seminar Jasim Mohammad told media persons that Keynote Address will be delivered by eminent film director Shri Mahesh Bhatt and General Secretary of Indian National Congress Madhusudan Mistry, while expectations are that the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will also deliver his views. He told that the Guest of Honour will be Mr. Safdar Husain Khan Chairman, Delhi Minority Commission, Mohammad Adeeb, MP (Rajya Sabha), Anis Durrani Secretary, AICC Minority Department, Ashish Khetan Ex-Editor Investigations of Tehelka magazine & Editor Gulail dot com and the OSD of Jamia Urdu Farhat Ali Khan.

    Jasim Mohammad said that the ‘Aligarh Movement Award-2012’ will be presented to Union Minister Minority Affairs Minister Dr. K. Rahman Khan and Mr. Ashish Khetan Ex-Editor Investigations of Tehelka magazine & Editor Gulail dot com in the seminar. At the same time, a special issue of The Aligarh Movement on Article 341 of the Constitution of India whose Clause (3) of Constitution (Scheduled Castes) order 1950 restricts benefits of reservation under above mentioned Article to Hindus, Sikhs and Neo-Buddhists and is discriminating to the Muslims and Christians Edited by the Vice-Chancellor of Urdu Arabic Farsi University, Lucknow Dr. Anis Ansari will be released by noted film director and social Activist Shri Mahesh Bhatt.

    He further added that scholars and intellectuals in large number from AMU, Jamia Millia Islamia and JNU will participate in the Seminar.
