Several long-distance trains including the Saraighat Express, the Kamrup Express and the Brahmaputra Mail have been running well behind the schedule with the dense fog warranting speed limits.

The lower visibility also resulted in several road accidents. Three people including a woman were injured after a truck hit a electric post near Bagdogra.
