S M Pasha, convener of the Forum, who is at present in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, in his message said that the saying that ‘out of evil, comes forth good at times’, applied in the case of the hanging of Memon, because the entire Indian Muslim minority community in a rarest of rare display of unity, appealed to the President of India to see that Yakub Memon be not hanged, a statement from the Forum sent by M H Baig said.

Yakub Memon is no more physically but he will remain alive in the hearts and minds of many of his compatriots, the statement added.
