Ref: – International Kashmir conference held at Uruguay.

The first ever Kashmir Conference in Latin America was held on July 31, 2007 in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay where eight point hollow resolution was unanimously adopted except one relevant point that is 'right to self determination by people of J&K'.
This is another similar exercise by some people, academicians & leaders taken from India Pakistan, Kashmir (from both sides of LOC) and some foreign countries who participated in Seventh International Kashmir Peace Conference held at Capitol Hill Washington on July 26-27, 2007 where nine point hollow resolution was unanimously adopted except one same relevant point that is 'right to self determination by people of J&K'.
Any person who has even an elementary knowledge of logic and common sense will immediately realize that all other unnecessary points of these two resolutions are already subsumed in one relevant point of "right to self determination by people of J&K". Then where is the need for unnecessarily confusing / obfuscating / complicating the entire issue of Kashmir solution.
This exercise in deception by these two conferences is born out of simple fact that no body wants to move UN to get the plebiscite resolution implemented.
Kashmiri leaders (from both sides of LOC) can still play an important and crucial role in getting the 1948 UN resolution for plebiscite implemented. But it seems that either they are clueless / devoid of adequate political will or are simply playing (unwittingly or worse knowingly) in the hands of Governments of India & Pakistan, without having any regard for more than 80,000 Kashmiris (as per EU's report) who have already lost their lives for the mission of time bound re-unification of J&K.
But what is amazing is that the participants of these Kashmir conferences consider the remaining mankind so naïve that it will not understand the simple fact that these people who are experts in organizing conferences can easily move UN by mobilizing international community for the implementation of 1948 UN plebiscite resolution but will not do so and instead will be in constant look out for an opportunity to organize another conference to pass another such hollow resolutions unanimously, after lot of breast beating about human rights of Kashmiris (predominantly Muslims and also Hindu Kashmiri Pundits).
If the people who participate and organize these and other such conferences are really serious about early Kashmir solution (which is nothing but 'Unified J&K') then they instead of merely passing sermons & laments should suggest a road map to effectively mobilize UN in order to implement 1948 plebiscite resolution. And should also declare that how these persons (who participate and organize these and other such conferences) will themselves strive personally (and through their organizations) for said mobilization of UN.
