Palestinian dies of injuries sustained at Etara barrier

Ramallah : A young Palestinian died in hospital on Monday morning as a result of injuries sustained at Etara road block near Ramallah, medical sources said.

The Ramallah Hospital sources indicated Mohammad Al-Maloukh who was shot by Israeli soldiers died after failed attempts to resuscitate him.

Al-Maloukh was shot at the road block between Ramallah and Beir Zeit while he was trying to flee from a Palestinian Authority vehicle after he was arrested.

Meanwhile, Radio Israel reports that an officer was “slightly” injured in a shootout with militants in Nablus.

The Israeli Army arrested three Palestinians before pulling out of the city and arrested eight others in the West Bank, saying they were all wanted by security authorities.

Israeli settlers in Hebron have set fire to two commercial establishments in the old city and a settler also ran over a Palestinian in Al-Shuhada Street leaving him with fractures and bruises in different parts of his body.
