The vehicle carrying the pregnant woman got halted near Regent Plaza after other vehicles did not give way Saturday.

The woman’s relative accompanying her nursed her to deliver the child.

“I took the lady from Gandhi Street (Saddar Town). When we reached the main intersection near the hospital, traffic was completely jammed. Despite repeated requests on the megaphone nobody (gave us space to move),” the driver of the ambulance told the Daily Times.

“What will she (newborn) think when she grows up?” he asked indignantly. “That she was born on the road!”
