Islamabad : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf left for Kabul Sunday to address the Pakistan-Afghan joint peace jirga (assembly) being held in Kabul.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai telephoned Musharraf Friday evening and invited him to attend the closing session of the jirga.
Musharraf had earlier cancelled his participation in the Kabul jirga citing “domestic engagements”.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz represented Musharraf at the inaugural session Thursday.
