Tehran : Iran’s Ambassador to San’a Hossein Kamalian conferred on Sunday with Yemeni Minister of Trade and Industries Yahya Al-Mutawakel on expansion of commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries.
At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest status of economic ties between the two countries and underlined the need for active role of the both sides’ private sectors in this respect.
They discussed various issues and explored ways of increasing the current volume of mutual trade exchanges as well as export of Iranian made products to Yemen.
Given Iran’s high potentials in various sectors, he called for more active presence of Iranian private sector in economic activities in Yemen.
The Yemeni minister, for his part, highlighted the privileges of markets in Yemen and said holding Iran-Yemen joint economic commission would create a suitable ground for expansion of economic ties between the two sides.
The 8th Iran-Yemen Joint Economic Commission meeting is to be held in the last quarter of the current Year.
