Islamabad : At least four policemen were killed in a suicide attack in northwestern Pakistan’s Swat district Sunday, media reports said.
A suicide bomber rammed his vehicle into a police mobile van in the town of Shangla in Swat valley, leaving three constables and one police officer killed.
The suicide bomber was also killed.
Many other people were injured in the attack, who were taken to a hospital, reports said.
No group has claimed responsibility of the attack.
Northwest Pakistan has witnessed a sharp increase in attacks on security personnel since July when government forces stormed the hardline Red Mosque, killing around 100. Several bombing attacks have occurred in Swat since early July.
