However, the court has sought a reply from Jail Superintendent Swati Sathe by Tuesday.

Pravin told the court that a convict in the March 12, 1993, serial blasts case Manoj Kumar Gupta had allegedly threatened him in the name of Mustafa Dossa alias Mustaffa Majnu, an accused in the blasts case, The trial of Dossa is yet to be completed. Gupta has been given 14 years’ rigorous imprisonment.

Mahajan was earlier lodged in barrack no. 1 of the Arthur Road jail. But on Aug 5, he was shifted to the jail veranda, which he had to share with Gupta.

“What is my fault that I was brought out of a separate cell after 15 months. I have not broken any rules. Every illegal activity I have witnessed as a spectator. I want to be shifted to Thane jail,” the letter said.
