In a statement sent to the media, Hamas said that Zuhair Labadda, 51-year-old leader, was among the detainees in Nablus city. The campaign took place in Jenin and Hebron.

In return, Fatah said that Hamas police forces have arrested four members of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ faction in Gaza Strip.

Fatah added that its members were hanging posters of late President Yasser Arafat in northern Gaza city when Hamas police arrested them.

In June, Hamas routed pro-Abbas security forces and seized control of the Gaza Strip. Since then, a crackdown was launched against Hamas partisans in the Fatah-dominated West Bank for fears of losing the territory as what happened in Gaza.
