Gaza : The Israeli miniature political and security cabinet is set to convene for a special session in Jerusalem Wednesday and discuss the security situation on the parameters of Gaza Strip.
Radio Israel Tuesday said Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert is to chair over the meeting which would also discuss possibility of a large-scale Israeli Army operation in the strip.
Quoting a high Israeli government source, the radio said the security authorities have to review possible options as to how to exit Gaza and pullout forces after such operation.
The source, not identified, also added that no international party yet committed to sending a military force to maintain security and order in the strip.
Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak had yesterday ordered the army to beef up operations in Gaza Strip ahead of launch of a large-scale incursion to target armed Palestinian groups.
