NA ok on govt proposal to return debts report to specialized cmt

Kuwait : The National Assembly in a supplementary session Wednesday gave its approval over a proposal by the government to refer the report on citizens’ debts back to the NA Economic and Financial Affairs committee.

This is to be done while the NA awaits a draft law to be presented by the government soon.

The assembly had resumed the session after a 15-minute suspension with the vote on the government proposal which secured a majority support.
The vote on the proposal came 33 ayes and 30 nays, with 63 MPs attending the session.

The draft law is now expected to be presented within a few days.
