Kuwait : Kuwait’s Interior Minister Sheikh Jaber Khaled Al-Sabah has underscored the urgent need for regional and international collaboration to combat terrorism and other crimes.
Sheikh Jaber received Thursday a visiting Philippine delegation led by National Security Advisor Norberto Gonzales.
“Combating terrorism, drug and weapon trafficking and money laundering require strategic integrated collaboration at the regional and international levels to combat them,” said Sheikh Khaled.
He noted that peace was the only way to realise progress and civilisation, citing what the human history had achieved at the time of peace, away from war.
Sheikh Jaber noted that some people put on the robe of Islam and commit terrorist acts, “but Islam is innocent of them.”
For his part, Gonzales said he expects the visit to Kuwait to help boost bilateral relations.
