Gaza : A sick Palestinian woman died on Sunday in Gaza city after Israeli troops surrounding Gaza Strip prevented her transport abroad for treatment, medical sources said.
The sources told Kuwait News Agency KUNA that Aisha Abu-Ghanima, a resident of Shujaiya district, passed away this morning in Al-Shifa’a Hospital in Gaza after suffering a fatal heart disease.
The forces prevented Abu-Ghanima from traveling abroad by closing the crossings along the demarcation line of the strip, the sources added.
With her demise, the number of deaths of patients banned from traveling from Gaza Strip has increased to 31 due to the Israeli siege that has been enfroced for months.
Hundreds of other Palestinian patients, who are in serious condition, are in dire need for medication and medical facilities in Gaza Strip that has been under the tight siege.
