Brussels : A judge in the Dutch capital Amsterdam has ruled that police are entitled to stage a strike during two first division Dutch football matches Sunday, Radio Netherlands reported.
The mayors of Amsterdam and Rotterdam and the Dutch interior minister had sought a ban on the police strike citing safety concerns, it said.
Friday’s ruling could see the cancellation of two clashes – Feyenoord vs AZ and Ajax vs PSV.
Two police unions have called a general meeting during the matches in protest at stalled labour agreement talks in the sector.
