New Delhi : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and Member Parliament Ms Mehbooba Mufti today left for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
Ms Mufti is performing the annual pilgrimage as part of the government of India’s goodwill delegation. The other members of the delegation include union minister for minority affairs A R Antuly, former union minister Mohsina Kidwai, Delhi transport minister Haroon Yousuf, general secretary of Delhi Jama Masjid consultative council Syed Tariq Bukhari and Assam minister Dr Nazarul Islam.
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had hosted a dinner for the members of the delegation last evening where he handed over a goodwill message for the Saudi King to the delegation.
Ms Mufti is expected to arrive back in New Delhi on December 26.
