Acting on a tip-off pertaining to suspicious activities going on at a posh farmhouse in Kinnoli village, around 150 km northeast of Mumbai, the NCB sleuths conducted the raid. The alert is believed to have been sent by the Uttar Pradesh police, according to the sources.
An Intelligence Bureau alert had also warned of potential terrorist activities going on at the Siddiqui Farm, owned by one Nayuddin Shah Siddiqui, police said.
Kinnoli village and its picturesque surroundings, 70 km from Shahapur in Mumbai’s adjoining Thane district, have many farmhouses owned by the rich and famous of Maharashtra.
