Ankara : Turkish warplanes shelled again zones of the Iraqi north-eastern province of Dahuk bordering with Turkey, media sources in this capital reported.
The top military command did not confirm the version, but according to Iraqi sources, the incursions left no victims because the area had been previously evacuated.
Turkish air forces have been attacking that Iraqi territory bordering with Turkey since December 1, in which the General Staff presumes the existence of guerrilla bases of the Kurdistan Workers Party, PKK.
The US occupation troops in Iraq give intelligence information on those redoubts to Turkey.
Turkish air strikes have been followed by ground forces operations, chiefly limited due to the bad winter in that mountainous region.
The largest scale offensive so far was carried out on December 16, when 50 Turkish warplanes hit three main targets of the PKK commands.
The Turkish military confirmed the attack and reported at least 300 guerrilla casualties.
