Baghdad : At least eight people were killed and 32 injured in a car bomb explosion at a crowded central Baghdad area Friday, an Interior Ministry official said.
“A car bomb parked near the Taiyran Square in Bab al-Sharji area detonated in the afternoon, killing at least eight people and wounding 32 others,” the official said on condition of anonymity.
The attack targeted a busy area in downtown Baghdad where several outdoor marketplaces and parking lots located, he said.
