Belfast : India's one-day International tie with Pakistan in Glasgow Tuesday will proceed as scheduled, notwithstanding the alleged terrorist attack at the city's airport and the state of "critical" alert announced by the British government in anticipation of further attempts by extremists.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Niranjan Shah insisted here Sunday that the Indian team had no problems playing the match.
He also confirmed that there had been no approach from anybody to either postpone or cancel the ODI because of the tension following the discovery of car bombs in London and the incident in Glasgow, Scotland's most populous city.
The fixture is in aid of a trust operated by Prince Charles.
"Still going ahead as planned," said a spokesperson for the organisers.
Glasgow has a sizeable community of Pakistani descent and even has a member of parliament of Pakistani origin. The former have endured extensive searches of their households and localities after Saturday's airport attack.
Glasgow airport was closed to all air traffic immediately after the incident but slowly reopened to incoming flights Sunday.
Team India will reach Glasgow Monday morning.
