Local network NBC plans to air a one-hour special titled "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" on July 16, reports Soccernet, a popular US-based football website.

The show will follow the England midfielder's wife, a former member of the 'Spice Girls' pop group, as she prepares to move from Europe to the US with her husband.

Initially, NBC had announced a six-episode series in February that would air during the summer. However, shooting time was limited by Victoria, earlier known as Posh Spice, spending time in Europe as David Beckham wound down his playing career with Real Madrid in Spain.

So NBC decided it had enough footage to air a one-hour special. Among the executive producers is Simon Fuller, who managed the Spice Girls before their break up.

The Beckhams, currently on vacation, will arrive in Los Angeles only next week.
