Gaza : Palestinian gunners unleashed a salvo of missiles in the direction of targets in South Israel early on Sunday and a single rocket crashed into the town of Sderot inflicting damage.
Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad movement, said in a statement its fighters fired four medium-range "Quds" missiles on the southern Israeli town of Sderot.
They have also targetted the settlement of Al-Majdal and returned safely to base, it said.
A spokesman of the Israeli Army said five rockets were fired on the south of Israel early today. Four missiles harmlessly crashed into uninhabited locations and a single one hit a building under construction in Sderot, causing some damage.
Palestinian factions have been launching attacks on southern Israel with locally-made rockets.
In retaliation, Israel has been targeting with air strikes metal workshops, where such limited-range rockets are suspected of being fabricated.
