Mumbai : With technology stocks opening firm, Indian indices rose to a record high for a sixth successive day Monday.
The benchmark 30-share sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) breached the 15,000 mark in early trade and rose to 15,067.86 levels, up 103.74 point or 0.69 percent at 10 a.m. with most of its components trading in green.
The Sensex had Friday risen to 15,007.22 but closed at 14,964.12. Buoyed by firm trading, it is still above the 15,000 mark.
Similarly, the broader 50-issue National Stock Exchange (NSE) index, Nifty, too was up 0.62 percent at 4,411.85. The Nifty hit its all time high of 4,411.00 Friday, before closing at 4,384.62 levels.
