Bhopal : C.P.Singh, Director (E, R & D) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL),.has stressed upon the urgent need of capacity and capability building. He asked to give top priority to in-house developments through sustained efforts for initiation and completion of research-based projects.
Singh was speaking in an engineering review meeting on focusing Engineering Development, new initiatives and Research Project held in BHEL, Bhopal unit which he chaired here today. Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal, RK Bhattacharya, Executive Director (CEPD, ARP & TL &JV), SN Daga, Executive Director ( Monitoring ) and all Engineering Heads were present on this occasion.
Singh in his address, while congratulating BHEL, Bhopal unit, for its last financial year performance, also called upon the engineering heads to focus upon identification of the present and future gaps in design and technology keeping in view the sustained growth of the company. He also asked the engineering heads to formulate and implement engineering automation plans.
Earlier, R.K. Singh while welcoming the Director and Executive Directors from the Corporate office shared the good work done by various engineering groups . He stressed upon need of timely completion of research-based projects so that the envisaged benefits could be realized.
R.K. Bhattacharya speaking on the occasion said that creative and innovative work cannot be outsourced and as such efforts need to be put in motivate and encourage such efforts.
S.N. Daga called upon development of new products with compressed delivery cycle and minimum life cycle cost.
All Engineering heads made a presentation of engineering Developments, new initiatives, status of research projects and patenting efforts.
