Tehran : Head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICCO) Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi here on Saturday urged Muslim scholars and elites to increase their scientific and academic interaction.
Addressing visiting Indonesian academics, the cleric said the Islamic world is in need of dialogue, unity and solidarity.
"Members of the Islamic world regardless of their race and nationality should stay united against enemies of Islam," Araqi said.
He stressed that cultural figures and scholars of the Muslim world played a key role in preventing cultural invasion of enemies of Islam and prevalence of their "vicious" thoughts among young Muslims specially in universities of the Islamic states.
