Baghdad : Three U.S. soldiers have been killed in fighting with insurgents in Iraq's volatile western province of Anbar, the U.S. military said on Monday.
The soldiers were killed on Thursday during combat operations in the province, a military statement said.
In an earlier statement, the military said that another soldier was killed during combat operations in eastern Baghdad on Sunday.
The names of the killed soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the statements added.
The latest deaths bring the number of U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq to about 3,650 since the Iraq war broke out in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
