The 22-member Arab League foreign ministers had met in Cairo to discuss a Middle East peace plan that is at the vanguard of a renewed diplomatic push to end this conflict.

Ahamed said India always supported the establishment of a sovereign, independent and viable state of Palestine within well-defined and recognised borders living side by side at peace with all its neighbours through a negotiated solution to the conflict in keeping with the relevant UN resolutions.
