Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir Police may go in for a fresh probe into the alleged suicide of Captain Megha Razdan and have sought the text of the SMS messages on her mobile phone, a police official said Monday.
Captain Razdan had reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her residential quarters in Kunjwani on the outskirts of Jammu July 1.
"We have asked for the text of the SMSes and we may open investigation to find out what led her to kill herself," said Senior Superintendent of Police of Jammu, Parvinder Singh.
"It all depends on the nature of the text of the message," the police officer told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with police officers in Jammu Monday evening.
Earlier, the police had concluded that Captain Razdan had committed suicide. But the computer-generated suicide note did not throw any light on the causes. The note simply read that she was fed up with her work.
Interrogation of her husband, Captain Chattainya, did not yield any clues either.
The police have sought the help of the army in carrying out further investigations into the case.
