Shweta finishes 42nd at shooting World Cup

Munich : India's Shweta Chaudhary finished 42nd in the women's 10 metres air pistol on the second day of the World Cup here Thursday.

Shweta shot 377 points, with a series of 93, 92, 94 and 98 in the qualifications.

Harveen Srao finished 61st with 375 (94, 94, 93, 94) while Anisa Sayyed managed 371 (93, 89, 93, 96) to finish 85th in a field of 117 competitors.

In the minimum qualifying score (MQS) section, Sonia Rai shot 375 (92, 94, 93, 96) while Annu Raj Singh could muster 369 (89, 91, 94, 95).

Chaika Viktoria (Byelorussia) won the gold with 488.4 points (390 in the qualification round and 98.4 in finals) while Seraric Jasna of Serbia settled for the silver with 487.4 (388+99.4).

Nevansuu Mira of Finland shot 487.1 (389+98.1) to claim the bronze.
