Mumbai : India's biggest entertainer Amitabh Bachchan will be honoured this month by British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) in London with a retrospective of his films.
"I leave for Britain early in June – on 6, 7, 8 and 9, I will be in Yorkshire for IIFA (the International Indian Film Academy awards). Then I will go to London for the BAFTA awards. They're honouring me over the weekend (June 16 and 17) with a retrospective of my films."
"The list of films is still being finalised," he added.
"After the screenings, there'll be special question and answer sessions thrown open to the press and public," he said.
Over-booked as he is with commitment at home and abroad, the Big B is still looking forward to this event.
"It's good to be recognised for one's work by any kind of award. To me the recognition I get at home is as important as being honoured abroad. But BAFTA is a very prestigious institution. Last year they had honoured Yash Chopra. This year it's me. That must mean something."
